It’s always fun working in schools! In March, I was once again asked back to Nether Kellet Community Primary School in North Lancashire for a 2 day Film-making Video Workshop.
I worked with every year group over the course of the 2 days. The Reception class had great fun turning into superheroes for the day – I filmed them in front of the Green Screen so I could add different backgrounds. They also had super powers such as the ability to fly, become invisible, throw spider webs and have super strength!
Year 1 and 2 made some interesting inventions! And with the help of the Green Screen once again, these inventions were able to come to life!
Year 3 and 4 decided they wanted to create some silent movies. These were great fun to make and by adding some crazy piano music, speeding up the footage a litle and adding sepia filters, they looked the real deal!
Finally the Year 5s and 6s created a news programme to tell the views everything that was happening at school.
We had news stories, sports reports and a weather bulletin as well as many entertaining adverts during the break!
The children were able to get involved with the production side of things and could ask questions at any time.
If this would be of interest to your school, please do get in touch.
