It was a real honour and privilege to be asked to provide the Live Streaming and TV / Sound relay for a Funeral at a Church in Long Marton, near Appleby-in-Westmorland and Penrith in Cumbria.
This was always going to be a very big funeral for a much loved local lady and the church just wasn’t big enough to fit everyone inside. So I was asked to provide a live visual and sound feed on a big screen TV and speakers in a marquee located outside, as well as the webcast.
With it being October, the weather wasn’t all that helpful – A storm system had just passed so thankfully that morning, the marquee was able to be erected! The other problem was mobile phone signal for the live stream – But thankfully my LiveU solo unit was able to stream from this remote location.
Everything worked really well – I used my usual 3 camera setup for the webcasting and I also installed micriophones to ensure the people watching the online broadcast as well as those outside in the marquee, could hear everything.
It was great to work alongside Glyn Jones & Son Funeral Directors from Appleby who did a marvelous job.
The family were delighted with everything – Below is what they had to say:
“Thanks for your service I would definitely recommend you to others, it’s been a refreshing experience to employ someone with such good service, thank you once again. I will treasure the memory.”
